Robert J. Rader: This teacher, author, owner and president of Law Instructor Publications has been involved in education for the past 40 years. He has been a social studies and business education teacher at Jefferson High School in Alexandria for many years, teaching courses in business, civil and constitutional law, American History, world history, political science, and religion, among others.
His innovative teaching methods are well known in the State of Minnesota, and his law-related materials, short stories, plays and mock trials have been widely sold and distributed throughout the United States, Territories, and Canada.
He has been involved in helping develop curriculum materials for the Minnesota Bar Association and MN State Department of Education, and has been a member of numerous local and state task forces in curriculum development in the areas of law-related instruction, social studies and conservation.
Mr. Rader is a graduate of St. Cloud State University in MN, and holds B.A., B.S., and Master of Science Degrees in Education. He is now retired from active teaching, devoting his time to writing new curriculum materials, to the publishing business, and to the leisure time activities of golf, fishing and the computer.
He has authored eight other mock trials products, involving the issues of : Burglary, Murder, Vandalism, Delinquency, Custody, Indictment, Personal Injury, and Robbery. He has also authored a series of four short stories entitled Short stories in Law Education. Several other writing and publishing efforts of Mr. Rader in recent years are Cross-Exam: Problems and Puzzles, Law Posters: three motivational posters, Classroom Cribbage, and Bingo, Bango, Bongo, a model, persuasive essay for the social studies. His most recent efforts have been in the development of Role Plays in Law Education, including A Case of Burglary, and Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.
