Welcome to the Douglas County Historical Society in Alexandria, Minnesota.  Organized in 1976 and located in the historic residence of Senator Knute Nelson.  Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978.

Our Mission

The mission of the Douglas County Historical Society is to discover, preserve and disseminate the history of the county and its people.
